It wasn’t pretty at times but Jurgen will have been pleased with the first leg win

Now, that’s more like it lads.

The pathetic submission at the weekend away at West Ham is still fresh in the memory, but churn out a few more hard-earned wins against good opposition and fans may just start believing in you again.

The first leg win at the Brittania tonight was the result of a collective effort. A game, in which, there were a great many casualties of the Red persuasion and Liverpool will have concerns ahead of the game against Exeter on Friday night.

For now, a first leg win is more than most would’ve dared hope for and gives the team something to build on for the second leg in three week’s time, on 26th January.
