It’s a rare break for the squad this weekend, after defeat to West Ham in the FA Cup a couple of weeks ago consigned the Reds to a cup exit for the first time this season and rendered my Bet365 code a waste.

With the Capital One Cup final next Sunday, and the return leg of FC Augsburg in 6 days times, the players will get the chance to recharge the batteries, whilst Jurgen himself may get to see a bit more of the city he’s been adopted by.

And while it hasn’t exactly been the perfect start that Klopp would have wanted, there have been signs that he is putting his ideas in place and is seeing whether any of the current group of players are capable of buying into them.

What we’ve seen so far are signs – brief signs – that a small handful might have what it takes on a regular basis. There are obviously players that are mostly indispensable regardless of manager, such as Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge. But there are those that have struggled since signing, or never been in favour that have found a new lease of life under Klopp.

So, put your feet up and prepare yourselves to completely disagree with the players that have taken to Jurgen and been given a new start.
