According to reports from Transfermarketweb today, the Reds are preparing to make an offer for PSG’s Brazilian star, Lucas Moura. The 23 year old joined the Paris based club in 2013 for a hefty sum and has been a standout player for them in the three years since.
With over 150 games for the club, along with plenty of goals/assists, the winger would be a superb addition to the side that Jurgen Klopp is trying to build, and would provide pace, power and experience to the wide areas of this Liverpool team.
But as to where the site got there information regarding this purported move is open to question, as there doesn’t appear to be much in the ways of facts, quotes or even sources (apart from ‘UK news’). Simply that Jurgen fancies signing the player and Liverpool will make a bid.
Of course, few of us would argue if we did happen to buy the winger, as it is exactly his sort of star quality that the club has failed to bring in – for the most part – since selling Luis Suarez a couple of summers ago.
It is not clear how much exactly the club would be prepared to pay for the 23 year old, but it wouldn’t be loose change, that’s for sure. Particularly considering Moura has over 30 caps for his country and is one of the most sought after attacking players in Europe, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all reportedly interested too.
