The agent of Milan striker Carlos Bacca believes the player will stay with the Italian club beyond the end of this season.

Spanish newspapaer AS linked Bacca with a move to Liverpool along with Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Real Madrid last week but the Colombian striker’s agent Sergio Barila told tuttomercatoweb that his player wants to get into the Europa League by winning the Italian Cup with Milan:

“He’s just thinking about the Coppa Italia final, he wants to take Milan into Europe. The goal of the lad is to finish the season in the best possible way, to do that they have to win the last two [Serie A] games and the final against Juventus on May 21.”

“He’s happy at Milan and wants to win a trophy in the Rossoneri shirt. He’s not thinking about his future, just about doing well in the moment. Could failure to make the Europa League change anything? Right now I’d say no.”

The 29 year old has been in good form since his move from Sevilla in the summer. In 40 appearances, he has scored 18 goals and although Milan have struggled in the league, having two coaches already this season in Sinisa Mihajlovic and Cristian Brocchi, the Colombian has settled well in Italian football, something which isn’t always easy to do for a striker. Milan drew 0-0 with 17th placed Carpi, lost 2-1 to bottom side Verona and drew 3-3 with 19th placed Frosinone in their last 3 games putting in jeopardy their Europa League qualification in the league and may need to win against Juve in the Italian Cup to guarantee European football next season.
