The agent and father of Lorient full back Raphael Guerreiro are in talks with Liverpool regarding the player’s transfer to Anfield, according to the Italian website Calcio News 24.
The same site reported all the way back in early April that the Reds were interested in the 22 year old but there have been counter claims from Goal.com’s Melissa Reddy that Liverpool are not in fact interested in the player.
The Vice President of Lorient Alex Hayes stated yesterday that Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have had bids rejected for the player, with Barcelona and Roma also rumoured to be in the running for the Portuguese international left back.
Calcio News 24 have added more detail to the story by saying Guerreiro’s agent Constantin Dumitrascu, head of the Mondial Sport Management and Consulting Sarl agency, and the player’s father are talking to the Reds about a possible move. Whether this is substantiated by any other source, we will have to wait and see.
