Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski’s agent has confirmed that a move to Liverpool is in doubt. The Polish international has been on loan at Serie A side Empoli this season and his impressive performances attracted the interest of Jurgen Klopp and his scouts.

Reports in Poland had suggested a move to Anfield had been finalised with pictures emerging of Zielinski wearing a Liverpool shirt but his agent Bartlomiej Bolek was asked by Italian website ForzaRoma.info if the move to Liverpool was in doubt, his reply was simply:

“Maybe”

The website than asked a follow up question about whether Zielinski could move to Roma, Bolik said:

“Hard to say. At the moment the guy is totally focused on the Euros.”

Zielinski has been called up by Poland for the European Championships and it looks as though that his future will now be resolved after the tournament in France. The Daily Express has suggested that Borussia Monchengladbach’s Mahmoud Dahoud is now the priority ahead of Zielinski for the Reds.
