Juventus are preparing a bid for Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport and Tuttosport in Italy. Liverpool are also said to be interested in the German international as Superdeporte, Valencia’s local newspaper, have said that the Reds have scouted the 24 year old on a number of occasions already this season.

Mustafi was bought by Valencia from Sampdoria after the 2014 World Cup for €9million, and has been one of the stand out performers in a side that has struggled in La Liga this season. After sacking Gary Neville, interim boss and former Liverpool assistant manager Pako Ayestaran has taken charge, and although he has steered them away from relegation, it is expected that the Spanish club will make changes to the squad this summer under a new manager.

Juve already have an agreement in place with Andre Gomes to buy the midfielder from Valencia, accrding to Gazzetta, but they are also interested in Mustafi for £12million (€15million).
