Liverpool striker Christian Benteke has been linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks and now Calciomercato.it believe that a representative trusted by Juve sporting director Beppe Marotta will be at Anfield tonight for Liverpool’s match against Villarreal in the second leg of the Europa League, to watch the Belgian.

It is not certain the 25 year old will start or even make a substitute appearance tonight by it looks as though the Italian club are stepping up their interest in the player.

Benteke has played 90 minutes just three times since the start of January, although he has been out injured recently with a knee injury in the last month, but with Divock Origi, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge all having been picked consistently ahead of him for important matches when fit, it is believed Jurgen Klopp may well look to move on the striker this summer to fund moves for other players as he starts to reshape his squad for next season.
