Leicester City are considering a move for out of favour Liverpool striker Christian Benteke, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

After winning the Premier League title, the Foxes are now preparing for life in the Champions League next season and want to add to their squad. Roma’s Kostas Manolas, Ahmed Musa of CSKA Moscow, Vincent Aboubakar of Porto and Benteke are apparently targets for the champions.

Benteke came on as a late substitute against Villarreal in Liverpool’s 3-0 victory at Anfield last night. He has now recovered from a knee injury which has kept the Belgian out for nearly a month and it will be interesting to see whether the 25 year old will be chosen by Klopp to start in the Reds’ last three matches of the Premier League season.

Divock Origi, Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino all look to be ahead of Benteke in the pecking order currently and will the Foxes try to tempt the £32.5million away from Anfield for more first team action?
