Striker Mario Balotelli is expected to return to Liverpool from his loan spell at AC Milan after club president Silvio Berlusconi named him on a list of players who will depart the Rossoneri this summer.

The Corriere Dello Sport however believe there may be another possible destination for the Italian. They are tipping Lazio to come in for the player but only if they appoint Cesare Prandelli as manager of the Rome club.

Prandelli is expected to sign a two year deal with Lazio very soon and with the departure of club talisman Miroslav Klose this summer, the new manager will be looking for a replacement with Balotelli being touted as an option.

Prandelli managed Italy between 2010 and 2014 and gave Balotelli a prominent role up front. Since the appointment of successor Antonio Conte as coach of the national team, the striker has rarely been called up, but his close relationship with Prandelli may help him revive his club career.
