Liverpool will make a bid for Leicester’s young full back Ben Chilwell, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 19 year old is also interesting Arsenal but the Reds see the player as their first choice to provide more competition at left back for Alberto Moreno and he has impressed the Reds scouts while playing on loan at Huddersfield Town.
No doubt Jurgen Klopp will put in a call to Terriers boss David Wagner who was Klopp’s youth team manager at Borussia Dortmund, in order to get his advice on Chilwell, and whether he would be a good purchase for the Reds.
So far Chilwell has made 8 appearances in the Championship under Wagner, helping the Terriers to 19th place, avoiding relegation with 51 points from 45 matches.
It will remain to be seen whether Chilwell will want to leave newly crowned Premier League champions Leicester. He was named the Academy’s player of the year last season and could well play in the Champions League with the Foxes next campaign.
