Real Sociedad keeper Geronimo Rulli is likely to leave the Basque club this summer, according to Don Balon. The Argentine is owned partly by an investment fund and curiously by a Uruguayan second division team Deportivo Maldonado but has been on loan in Spain for the last two seasons.

It is not expected that he will be sent out on loan again to Sociedad next season however, and those that own Rulli’s sporting rights want to see him play at a higher level.

The Spanish webite reports that both Liverpool and Barcelona are interested in the 23 year old although Barca would only buy the player if they sell German keeper Marc-Andre ten Stegen which looks unlikely after the player confirmed he was staying at the Camp Nou at the start of the month.

Rulli has been a first team regular over the past two seasons in Spain and Argentina coach Tata Martino is also a keen admirer of the player’s abilities.
