Empoli midfielder and rumoured Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski has responded to speculation about his future.

The 21 year old has been heavily linked with a move to the Reds, and he told the website whoscored:

“I don’t know if my playing style would suit the Premier League, and I haven’t thought about my future yet. As I said, it’s my agent who deals with these topics. Regardless of my personal situation, Klopp is one of the best managers around and it would certainly be an honour to work with him.”

Zielinski is currently on loan at Empoli from Udinese and has won many plaudits for his performances in Serie A this season. The Polish international has scored four goals and provided four assists in 34 matches so far this campaign and has also been linked with Juventus in the Italian media in recent weeks.

There were reports that Zielinski had already spoken to Klopp about a move to Anfield but those quotes were attributed to a mis-translation. Udinese Sporting Director Cristiano Giaretta has however stated on Italian radio that there is interest from the Reds for the player. Zielinski’s loan deal at Empoli finishes at the end of the season when his future with Udinese will be decided.
