Charlton winger Ademola Lookman is a target for a number of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and South London Press is reporting that unlike Joe Gomez, who made a similar move to Anfield, there is no release clause in Lookman’s contract which could see the player going for a lower transfer fee.
After being relegated from the Championship, Charlton are looking to cash in on the 18 year old and there is strong interest from the Reds, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea for the player’s signature.
Lookman is rated at £6million and the Addicks are hoping for bids to be made from a number of clubs in order to push up the sale price. The young winger has been in good form this season despite Charlton’s relegation with 5 goals and 1 assist in 24 league games.
Charlton are currently without a manager after Jose Riga resigned and the next coach may want to have a say in whether Lookman leaves the club this summer.
