Juventus and Napoli are looking at bidding for Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper believes there is an opening for both Italian clubs after Liverpool failed to close a deal for the Polish international. The 22 year old recently returned from a successful loan spell at fellow Serie A side Empoli where he made 35 league appearances last season, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists.

Zielinski’s move to the Reds has been speculated for many weeks with Polish media even reporting that the deal had been done, and a picture emerging with the player even wearing a Liverpool shirt, but there has yet to be any confirmation regarding the transfer.

This has led to both Juve and Napoli, who finished first and second respectively in Serie A last season, to increase their interest in the Pole. Zielinski will be hoping to be at this summer’s European Championships in France with Poland after being named in head coach Adam Nawa?ka’s provisional 28-man squad.
