Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has said he will transfer list midfield star Rachid Ghezzal if he doesn’t sign a new deal to stay at the French club.

The 24 year old has one year left on his contract and has been offered an extension by the Ligue One side, but the Algerian international has yet to agree to the new deal. French newspaper L’Equipe have linked the player with a move to Liverpool, as well as Valencia, Villarreal, Celta Vigo and newly promoted Premier League club Middlesbrough and Aulas is quoted by Football.fr as saying that Ghezzal will be sold this summer if after further discussions no agreement has been reached:

“Rachid went on holiday in Dubai. He was due back this weekend. I’ve asked to see him and I think in the course of the week I’ll find out… he did not sign an extension. If he does not sign, he will be placed on the transfer list.”

Lyon won’t allow Ghezzal to leave for nothing as he has had a very good season with the club. In 38 matches, Ghezzal scored 10 goals and provided 9 assists. He is left footed but is predominantly used on the right side of midfield.
