Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah, according to Sport Bild. The German website reports both Premier League clubs are tracking the progress of the 20 year old, and that he could be available for €12million or £10million.

Tah started his professional career at Hamburg, his birthplace. After making his debut in a 2-0 loss to Werder Bremen in 2013, he made a further 15 league appearances for the Bundesliga side. During the 2014/15 season, he was loaned out to Fortuna Dusseldorf before last summer he joined Leverkusen on a five year contract. He made 43 appearances in all competitions last season, impressing enough to earn a call up to the national side.

He made his debut for Germany against England, coming on for Mats Hummels in the second half during the 3-2 defeat in March. The centre back has been called up as a late replacement for Antonio Rudiger by German manager Joachim Low for the European Championships, and we may see more of him as the tournament progresses.
