Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are “fighting” to win the race to sign Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, according to AS. The Spanish newspaper believes that Real Madrid are preparing to activate their €30m buyback option for the Spanish international and that the three Premier League clubs are waiting in the wings.

Morata’s agent Juanma Lopez had a meeting with Madrid’s hierarchy at the club’s Bernabeu offices on Friday. He entered at 12pm, according to AS, and left after an hour. When asked what had been discussed, he said they had yet to talk about Morata and were discussing the situation regarding another of Lopez’s clients Diego Llorente whose loan at Rayo Vallecano had ended.

AS believe that Juventus are not that keen on keeping Morata as he doesn’t fit manager Massimiliano Allegri’s playing philosophy, and they are in agreement with Real regarding the Spanish club buying the player back. The Champions League winners then intend to sell Morata to the Premier League, although it is believed Chelsea are the favourites for his signature.
