Roma president James Pallotta has denied speculation that centre back Antonio Rudiger will be allowed to leave the Italian club this summer.

The German defender was only recently signed on a permanent basis from Stuttgart for €9million after spending the season on loan at the Serie A side but it has been reported widely in the Italian press that Roma are willing to sell Rudiger on for a profit if they receive a good enough offer for the player. When asked about the future of a number of Roma players, Pallotta said:

“I am telling you that Nainggolan is going nowhere. Also Pjanic will stay, but if somebody pays his release clause, there will be nothing that we can do. I don’t want to sell Rudiger, I like our group.”

Rudiger is said to be the subject of interest from Liverpool, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain with German newspaper Bild believing if any of these clubs offer above €20million, Roma will consider selling the player. The 23 year old has been included in Joachim Loew’s 23 man squad for the European Championships after making 37 appearances for Roma in all competitions last season.
