Portuguese newspaper O Jogo have reported that Liverpool and Benfica have come to an agreement regarding the transfer of midfielder Anderson Talisca.

The paper suggest that a €25million (£20million) fee has been agreed in principle, as long as the Brazlian’s work permit is approved. Other Portuguese newspapers have linked Liverpool with Talisca but there hasn’t been any real mention in English press which suggests that Benfica are the ones offering the player to the Merseyside club.

It is unlikely that Talisca will get a work permit to play as he hasn’t played the required 75% of national team matches for Brazil over the last two years. It is believed that Benfica and his agent Jorge Mendes are trying to find a solution whereby Talisca would qualify as an exceptional young talent.  If the move doesn’t go ahead, O Jogo suggest that Wolverhampton Wanderers maybe the player’s next destination as Mendes has close ties with Wolves’ new Chinese owners, the Fosun Group.
