Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan has denied that there has been any interest from Liverpool. The former Real Madrid player has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent months:

The 29 year old told Spanish newspaper AS that his focus is purely on staying in Seville with Betis for the new season:

“Liverpool have renovated recently. I feel happy and important in the Betis, so it’s something I’m not thinking. In Seville I am very good at home. The people have welcomed me very well, showed me affection. From the beginning I felt important and the ability to play every Sunday. Here I found everything you need to feel good at all levels.”

The Reds have also been linked with Italian international goalkeeper Federico Marchetti in recent days with the Lazio stopper also said to be on Juventus’s shortlist to be backup to Gianluigi Buffon. Jurgen Klopp has already bought German keeper Loris Karius from Mainz this summer and a move for another goalkeeper would surely spell the end of Simon Mignolet’s time at the Merseyside club.

Karius started his preseason training with the Reds on Saturday while Mignolet is taking a break after being part of the Belgium squad which reached the quarter final of the European Championships in France before losing to Wales.
