Swansea City will wait until Liverpool have completed contract talks with Joe Allen before they make another bid for Joe Allen, according to Sky Sports.

The Welsh international has one year left on his contract and after the 5-0 friendly win against Fleetwood Town on Wednesday, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp discussed Allen’s future and said there will be discussions with the player regarding potential “solutions”.

After the talks, it is expected that there will be more clarity on the 26 year old’s future and Swansea will have a better idea about their prospects of signing the midfielder. They have already had an £8million bid rejected by Liverpool with the Reds hoping to get nearer the £15million they spent back in 2012 after his stock rose due to his impressive Euro 2016 performances for Wales.

Francisco Guidolin is however prioritising two strikers this summer with forward Bafetimbi Gomis expected to leave the club while Alberto Paloschi has returned to Italy with Atalanta.
