Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has been linked with a move to Serie A by the Italian website calciomercato.it . They are speculating that AC Milan, Roma, Inter Milan and Napoli could all be in the running for the French international if the 26 year old is allowed to leave Anfield.
Sakho was sent home from Liverpool’s tour of the United States by Jurgen Klopp with the club stating he was having more treatment on his achilles injury. With the majority of Liverpool’s medical team currently in the States and the fact that Joe Gomez (who also has an achilles injury ) is staying with the Reds squad, it has been suggested by the Liverpool Echo and others that Sakho was sent home because of a poor attitude.
Whether that is true or not we will have to wait and see but it hasn’t stopped the Italian press from speculating. Calciomercato.it believe that Roma may follow up their previous interest in Sakho while AC Milan are seeing moves for Mateo Musacchio of Villarreal and Shkodran Mustafi of Valencia stall and could switch their attention to the Reds defender. Inter meanwhile are looking to replace Jeison Murillo while Napoli are looking at replacements for Kalidou Koulibaly who has been linked with Chelsea.
