Liverpool right back Connor Randall has not ruled out a loan move away from Anfield this season so he can get more game time.

Jon Flanagan is currently Nathaniel Clyne’s understudy at right back but the 23 year old is set for a season long loan move to Burnley so Randall may stay as backup, but talking on the club’s preseason of the United States, Randall says he won’t rule out a loan move as he has yet to have discussions with Jurgen Klopp about what role he will have in the squad next season. He told the Liverpool Echo.

“We’ve not had that conversation yet. I’m just focused on the tour and then we’ll see if that conversation occurs. If the chance came up we would have to speak about it as getting games is the main thing.

Randall has been contracted to Liverpool since he was nine years of age. Now 20, Randall may want to speed up his progression by getting more minutes on the pitch. He made seven appearances for the Reds last season but with the exception of one brief loan spell at Shrewsbury Town in the 2014/15 season where he made just one appearance, he lacks senior experience and he is at the stage of his career where he needs to start playing regularly.
