Ryan Kent will lead a “mini-exodus” of young players to be sent out on loan to lower league clubs, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The winger has impressed Jurgen Klopp during pre season but the 19 year old will be among a list of names including Jack Dunn and Lloyd Jones that will be loaned out. Liverpool Under 21 manager Michale Beale has confirmed Kent’s likely departure, telling the Echo:

“A loan for Ryan would be really important, you can see he’s got lots of talent, you’ve seen that in the four games for the first team.”

It looks like a change of policy by Jurgen Klopp who previously stated his surprise about the number of players the Reds have previously allowed to leave on loan rather than developing talent at the academy at Kirkby and at the first team training base at Melwood.

The sheer number of players both in the first team squad and at Academy level however means that players have to leave on loan to get game time at a high enough level so they can improve their game, whilst also freeing up space in the academy side for younger players to showcase their talents.
