Benfica president Luis Felipe Vieira has flown in to the UK to start talks regarding the possible sales of two players Anderson Talisca and Eduardo Salvio, according to Portugal’s three main Sports newspapers Abola, O Jogo and Record.

Speculation over Talisca’s move to Liverpool has been almost exclusively been from reports in Portugal suggesting that Benfica are keen on offloading the Brazilian to the Reds, while the Merseyside club may not be so keen.

Abola is reporting that Vieira will be visiting Benfica as they train at St Georges Park during preseason training but he will also be in negotiations with clubs about Talisca and also Salvio (who isn’t linked with Liverpool). Talisca is unlikely to get a work permit as he has not played for Brazil’s senior team. To automatically qualify a Non-EU player must have played 75% of their national side’s matches in the last two years, although there are exceptions; something Talisca’s agent Jorge Mendes has been keen to explore. The most likely alternative is that Talisca ends up in Spain which the Record suggests may well be the case.
