Liverpool and Arsenal are said to be admirers of Fulham full back Ryan Sessegnon, according to local newspaper Get West London. The left back made his professional debut against Leyton Orient last night in the EFL Cup and has been tipped by his manager Slavisa Jokanovic as being “an important player in English football” for the future.

At 16, Sessegnon would not be ready for first team action in the Premier League at Liverpool, and would most likely be used in Michael Beale’s Under 23 side rather than being cover or an alternative for Alberto Moreno at left back.

The Reds have been struggling to find a left back all summer after their £7million bid for Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell was rejected. Jurgen Klopp is believed not to be keen on Jonas Hector’s £20m+ price tag while a move for Milan full back Mattia De Sciglio has been mooted but no bid has yet been made for the Italian international.
