Porto are preparing to offload midfielder Nacine Brahimi this summer, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, and Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Zenit St Petersburg and AC Milan are all potential “suitors” for the Algerian star, the paper reports.

The Portuguese club need to offload players this summer in order fund other transfers, and Brahimi is not believed to be part of new manager Nuno Espirito Santo plans for the upcoming season.

One of the main reasons that Porto are looking to offload Brahimi is that they believe he would give the club the biggest transfer windfall. He has a huge release clause of €60million (£50m) as they only own half the player’s rights meaning they will only get half the transfer fee from any sale.

Still, it is unlikely any club will bid anywhere close to the £50m Porto would want, making any transfer difficult. With the Reds having already bought Georginio Wijnaldum this summer for £25million from Newcastle, it would be unlikely the Reds will be making a move for him.
