Liverpool striker Christian Benteke is prepared to leave the club on loan this summer, according to Dominic King in the Daily Mail. The Belgian has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp as manager.

Although it is believed the Reds boss and Benteke have a good relationship, the fact that the 25 year old has not even featured in the pre-season matches in the United States suggests Benteke will not feature a great deal for Liverpool this season. Benteke’s team mate Divock Origi (who returned to preseason from holiday at the same time), figured prominently against both AC Milan and Roma, which seems to suggest that Benteke is behind Origi as well as Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings in the pecking order at Anfield.

It has been reported that Crystal Palace have offered £25million for Benteke but the Reds appear to be sticking to their £30million valuation and will not allow the forward to leave for anything less.
