Liverpool are interested in signing goalkeeper Alphonse Areola from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Foot Sur 7. The French website has also linked the France Under 21 international with Barcelona and Porto.
Barca are looking for a replacement for Claudio Bravo who is set to leave the Camp Nou for Manchester City while Porto are keen on giving their goalkeeper Iker Casillas some competition for the number one spot.
Areola is currently behind Kevin Trapp and Salvatore Sirigu in the pecking order at the Parc des Princes and has been loaned out three times in the last three seasons at Lens, Bastia and Villarreal. He would no doubt have impressed many whilst on loan at the Yellow Submarine, including Barcelona and Liverpool who he faced in the second leg of the Europa League semi final back in May. It was an unhappy night for him at Anfield as he conceded 3 goals as the Reds recovered from a 1-0 deficit from the first leg to reach the final.
