Besiktas president Fikrit Orman is in London to negotiate a transfer for a new striker, according to Turkish website Fanatik. The Turkish champions have been looking for a forward after failing to secure German international striker Mario Gomez on a permanent transfer from Fiorentina.

Orman is believed to be interested in Liverpool’s Christian Benteke, Chelsea’s Loic Remy or Manchester City’s Wilfried Bony who are all believed to be available for transfer. In terms of the Benteke deal, it is reported that Orman will discuss with Liverpool a loan agreement which could be agreed if the Reds fail to find a permanent buyer this summer.

It is unlikely however that Jurgen Klopp would accept any such deal. The German coach recently said that Liverpool would not be giving any of their players away this summer and after rejecting a second bid from Crystal Palace for Benteke, it seems likely that the Reds will hold out for their £30m valuation.
