Sport Bild have revealed that Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud has a €10million release clause which can be activated next summer.

Liverpool were believed to be interested in the German Under 21 international this summer with a €30million bid believed to have been put on the table but Gladbach refused to sell as they had already sold another important player Granit Xhaka to Arsenal for £30million this summer.

Dahoud has a contract until 2018, and next summer he will be heading into the last year of his contract with a severely reduced release clause according to Sport Bild. Gladbach are keen on removing the clause and want the 20 year old to sign a new deal until 2022 but so far the midfielder has been unwilling to put pen to paper on a new deal.

Juventus are also believed to be tracking the player, and it maybe the case that both clubs go head to head next summer if Dahoud does not agree to a new deal before then.
