Manchester City Pep Guardiola was overhead talking to Borussia Monchengladbach’s sporting director Max Eberl about his interest in signing three of the German club’s players, according to Bild.

The German newspaper believes that the Spaniard told Eberl he likes Gladbach midfielders Mahmoud Dahoud, Thorgan Hazard and Andreas Christensen. Dahoud is one of two transfer targets (the other being Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic) that Jurgen Klopp is keen on capturing, according to the Liverpool Echo.

If City do enter the race for Dahoud, it would certainly complicate matters for the Reds. The 20 year old has been stalling on contract talks amid speculation that he does have a €10million release clause inserted in his current deal which can be activated by a club next season.

Juventus and Paris Saint Germain are reportedly are also keen on the German, who was scouted by the Reds once again when Germany Under 21s played Finland earlier this month.
