Liverpool scouts are in Finland to watch Borussia Monchengladbach’s Mahmoud Dahoud according to German newspaper Express. The 20 year old will be playing for Germany’s Under 21 side against Finland in a Euro Under 21 Championship qualifier tonight.
Dahoud, along with Christian Pulisic of Borussia Dortmund, is believed to be long term transfer targets for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and is was reported that the Reds were willing to pay up to £25million this summer to land the exciting central midfield starlet.
Gladbach have however declared on a number of occasions that Dahoud is not for sale but their hand may be forced next summer as the player is refusing to enter negotiations over a new contract.
The midfielder does have a deal which expires in 2018 but it is unlikely that the Bundesliga side will be able to resist improved bids for the player if Dahoud is unwilling to sign a new contract with the German club.
