Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Victor Lindelof, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo. The Swedish international has been tracked by a number of clubs including Chelsea and Liverpool, who had scouts watching his side Benfica against Besiktas in the Champions League last week.

Lindelof is seen as an ideal replacement at PSG for David Luiz who left the French club to return to Chelsea for £34million on transfer deadline day. A significant bid would be required to match Lindelof’s release clause though. At the moment, the 22 year old has a €30million clause in his contract but Benfica have been looking at increasing it to €60million after interest from Inter Milan and Chelsea in the summer, O Jogo reports.

With Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren settling into their partnership well, the Reds don’t seem to need another first choice centre half but if Mamadou Sakho does leave the club either in January or next summer, Jurgen Klopp may consider a move to bring in cover.
