Inter Milan manager Frank De Boer has offered Geoffrey Kondogbia a second chance to prove himself with the Serie A side.

The 23 year old cost Inter £25million back in June last year but he has been sidelined under De Boer since being taken off against Bologna in late September.

The French international was criticised after the match by the Dutchman for ignoring instructions to play a simple passing game but at a press conference yesterday, he was quoted by Goal.com France as saying:

“Geoffrey is still young (…) It can become like Pogba : this is the same role he has to win duels, play simple, know when to dribble or not to dribble in the transition to reach the opponent’s box.”

Despite the olive branch, Liverpool could still make a move Kondogbia in the January transfer window, reports Goal.com. The player’s agent  Jonathan Maarek says the midfielder does have interest from a number of clubs and refused to answer when asked if the Reds were one of them.

He did however say his client is concentrating on improving at Inter, and it seems likely that for now he will remain at the San Siro and work under De Boer who doesn’t seem willing to sell the player quite yet.
