Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp took part in a lawn bowls challenge as part of a feature for LFC TV and he was asked about what he hopes to have achieved in a year’s time with the Reds.

The German refused to say whether his team could mount a title challenge but he was heavily hinting at it, and was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying:

“To talk about a wonderful final which we’ve won. To talk about a few great, great games which we’ve won… I cannot say the one thing that I wish would happen but if I say it, everybody goes nuts.”

Whether the Reds will be involved in a title challenge will very much depend on how they can perform in matches such as against Manchester United next Monday night. The Reds will head into the match after a positive 2-1 win over Swansea while United will be looking to improve on their last outing as Jose Mourinho’s side drew 1-1 with Stoke City.

The Reds will be hoping all of their players get through the international break without injury in preparation for the North-West Derby at Anfield.
