Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson believes the Reds players are enjoying playing the style of football which manager Jurgen Klopp has brought to the club.

The much vaunted “Heavy Metal Football” which has been closely associated with the German boss throughout his managerial career has certainly been present this campaign as the Reds have scored the joint most goals in the Premier League so far this season. Henderson is quoted by Liverpoolfc.com as saying that all the players in the squad have embraced Klopp’s philosophy:

“With the players we’ve got in the team – we’ve got some unbelievable players – and we’ve been working well as a team and a squad. Even the players that haven’t been playing as much have been brilliant in training and I think that’s really important throughout the season. Everyone is enjoying it, and it also helps when you’re winning.”

The Reds have been shut out by a couple of opponents this season in Burnley and Manchester United when both teams put men behind the ball in order to restrict the Reds’ attacking play.

Walter Mazzarri’s Watford team this weekend will be a different test for Jurgen Klopp’s side though as the Hornet’s play three at the back; something they have yet to face this season so far. It will be interesting test both for the players and the manager to see how they cope tactically on Sunday.
