Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho will be subject to a second loan bid from West Bromwich Albion in the January transfer window, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The Frenchman turned down a loan move to the Hawthorns in the summer, as well as Stoke City and Stoke, but Baggies manager Tony Pulis is believed to be an admirer of the 26 year old and is determined to get his man.

Sakho continues to train with Michael Beale’s Under 23 side after failing to regain the favour of manager Jurgen Klopp in the past couple of months since his very public outburst on Snapchat in September.

It seems likely that that the French international has played his last game for Liverpool unless there is a serious injury crisis between now and January with Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip, Ragnar Klaven, Joe Gomez and Lucas Leiva all likely to be picked ahead of Sakho for future matches.
