It really does look as though Jurgen Klopp and Mamadou Sakho’s relationship is beyond repair at Liverpool now.
Sakho became a bit of a cult hero last season for the Reds as he became a mainstay in the club’s run to both the League Cup and Europa League finals.
The Frenchman put in some warrior-like displays during the previous campaign, too, and clearly demonstrated his affection for the club, referring to Merseyside as ‘Liverpool Country.’
He did, however, start to see things go sour for him with the Reds over the pre-season tour of the United States as he was sent home early by Klopp due to a lack of professional behaviour.
The former PSG man hasn’t been seen since for the senior side this year and with only Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan recognised centre backs in the squad, we think the Reds could do with another option in that area.
