According to ESPN, West Brom are no longer looking at signing our defender Mamadou Sakho in the January transfer window.

The Baggies had been weighing up a move for the Frenchman reportedly, ahead of the market opening for business next month but it now appears no such deal is going to take place.

Sakho has not featured for the Reds once this season after disciplinary issues saw him sent home early from our tour of the United States in the summer and instead he has had to play with the U23 side.

Indeed, Baggies manager Tony Pulis had been watching the former PSG defender in action for the side primarily made up of our youngsters but seems to have not been impressed enough to make a firm offer.

ESPN claim that sources close to the Midlands side have confirmed that no transfer will happen now and so it appears Sakho will have to wait for another team to be interested with him unlikely to play for us any time soon.

How would you deal with Sakho, Reds? Let us know below!
