According to the printed version of SportBild (via Talksport) the Reds are in the hunt for the signature of Sead Kolasinac but face competition from Manchester City and AS Roma.

The left back is out of contract with his current club Schalke at the end of the season and would certainly bolster our options in a position that we are currently looking very short in.

With Alberto Moreno not really good enough to play for the Reds and James Milner not an orthodox left sided defender despite doing a fine job this season, news like this is surely very welcome.

The 23-year-old is a very versatile player and can do just as good as job in central midfield so, if you like, is a reverse version of the former Aston Villa man he’d be looking to replace.

He has two goals and four assists from his nine Bundesliga appearances so far this season, highlighting an ability to get forward that would undoubtedly compliment our attacking style of play.

Would you take Kolasinac, Reds? Let us know below!
