According to The Daily Star, Liverpool are ready to make Philippe Coutinho their most highest paid player at the club in a bid to ward off potential suitors.

The Reds have been in superb form this season thanks to the exploits of the Brazilian attacker alongside Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane firing us into a title challenge and seem set to offer him £150,000 a week.

He’s been out injured for a few weeks, though, thanks to an injury against Sunderland but few can honestly say he won’t be our best player again once he gets back his match-fitness.

His ability has really come on under Jurgen Klopp – particularly this season – and that has reportedly attracted the interest of the likes of Manchester City.

A new contract, though, would certainly show we have no intention of selling our best stars right now and certainly, if we’re to compete in the Champions League next season, such a move is exactly what we need to do.

Worth the money surely, Reds? Let us know below!
