According to Calciomercato, Andrea Belotti has signed a new contract with Torino that has a release clause of €100 million (£84.4 million) for any side outside of Italy who wishes to buy him.

That may be of interest to the Reds who have been linked by Calciomercato with a move for the young Italian striker recently ahead of the January transfer window.

The Torino man is one of the most highly-thought of players in Serie A right now and after a superb breakthrough campaign last season he is once again finding the net on a regular occurrence this year.

The striker has eleven goals from 14 appearances in all competitions so far in 2016/17 and, at the age of 22, he’s surely only going to get better in the future.

The Reds have never paid that kind of money for a player before, though, and that figure would certainly have to take some serious consideration given our transfer policy that is currently in place.

Would you pay that much, Reds? If so, why? Let us know below!
