As quoted by The Liverpool Echo, FC Rostov striker Sardar Azmoun has admitted that he would consider a move to Anfield should it present itself to him.

The young Iranian forward has enjoyed a serious enlargement of his reputation in recent times thanks to his exploits in Russia with the Redmen just one of a cluster of clubs linked with an interest in securing his signature.

And, whilst Azmoun says he has not received any offers as yet, he has disclosed that he would take time to consider any avenues should they open up.

The striker said:

“Ajax, PSV or Liverpool? I have not received any offers.

“If there are, then I’m going to take my time to look into it, whether it’s come from Liverpool or other clubs.”

The Rostov man is in his early 20’s and so fits our club’s transfer policy down to the ground with some serious scope for improvement over the years to come.

He’s been on form in the Champions League this season, too, with goals against Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich to his name suggesting he’d be more than comfortable with playing in front of the Kop every other week.
