We’re pretty happy with the available team going into the huge game against Manchester City this weekend but there’s one man we want to see start – Daniel Sturridge.
Whilst the rest of the team will likely be the same as the one that beat Stoke last time out 4-1 at Anfield, we feel the England international needs to come in for Divock Origi for us to really turn the screw on the Citizens.
Sturridge has looked back to his sharp best in his two last substitute appearances against Everton and the Potters and now we think the time is right to bring him into the starting XI against one of our title rivals.
Beating City at Anfield will set up 2017 nicely and we think playing the former Chelsea striker will allow us to do just that.
