Without wanting to cause alarm, we’ll be without Sadio Mane for the start of next year thanks to the African Cup of Nations.
The rapid winger who joined us, as so many players have recently, from Southampton in the summer has been an instant hit thanks to his goals, assists and all-round direct style of play when he runs at defenders.
Indeed, he’s the kind of player that we’ve been missing in the attacking areas for some time so it’s little wonder that we’ve been so lethal going forward with him around.
Naturally, then, we’re going to miss him and that means Jurgen Klopp needs to seriously consider getting some extra options in to help protect our title challenge.
Our squad needs extra players as it is without the tournament in early 2017 so anything our German boss can do would be a great help.
