It’s games like the one this Saturday, that define a season and, indeed, often a players’ standing in the footballing landscape.
Whilst our game against Manchester City is not a cup final this weekend, of course, it does represent a big opportunity for our players to excel and prove themselves to be genuine title challengers in front of a massive audience.
We need to beat City in order to keep pace with Chelsea at the top of the table and Jurgen Klopp will be ensuring that, both physically and mentally, the players are ready for what lies ahead.
We’re expecting Anfield to be at its vociferous best on Saturday evening and we’re hoping the players respond with a top performance from the first whistle.
