According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Juventus have launched a €5 million (£4.3 million) bid for Schalke left back Sead Kolasinac.

The defender has impressed many this season in the Bundesliga and is seemingly set on running his contract down with the German side instead of extending his stay.

This means, then, that this window is the last opportunity for his current club to earn any money for him and the Turin club look to have stolen a march on the Reds in order to bring him in.

According to the report Arsenal and Chelsea are also keen on the player along with us but if any side wants to bring him in they’ll have to match the €2 million (£1.7 million) in advance – rising to €5 million – deal.

With James Miner our only genuinely good enough option at left back at the moment we’d have thought we’d have made a move for Kolasinac at this price and so maybe Jurgen Klopp has decided he is not good enough.

Thoughts, Reds? Let us know below!
