According to Italian outlet Tuttosport (via The Metro,) the Reds have opened talks in a bid to sign goalkeeper Joe Hart at the end of the season.

The England number 1 has had many onlookers wondering where could be heading past this season after he had it made clear to him that Pep Guardiola didn’t see him as part of his plans for Man City.

Duly, the ‘keeper moved to Torino on loan in Serie A and has done well since this season but it looks like he could be joining us ahead of next season.

For many, the Reds need to sign a new stopper as the last piece to complete Jurgen Klopp’s first team jigsaw after the likes of James Milner and Joel Matip have helped out our back-four.

We reckon Hart would see us have a very competitive first XI and then we’d need to just build up the numbers in terms of our squad options.
